The hounds have lots of property to run on, secure kennels with 2 hounds to 1 kennel. We have 1.5 acres mostly wooded. Half acre is enclosed with 5' high split rail fencing. There is electric wire at the top and base.
Individual dog houses are  put each kennel complete with decking to sun on.
BCHR is getting new dog houses and kennel coverings ( to keep rain & sunshine in their place! ). New pea gravel was just delivered to put in kennels and play area.

Our dogs are fully vetted. All vaccinations given, heart worm testing done; and treatment given, if need be. All dogs are kept on heart worm prevention all year round.
OUR HOUNDS ARE SPAYED/ NEUTERED BEFORE ADOPTION... except young pups. Females are spayed at 6 to 8 months of age. Males are neutered at 1 year.

Besides having adoptable dogs. BCHR has become a sanctuary for the senior Hounds. No dog is put down because of age or infirmary. These animals will have a comfortable life as much as we can provide.
